To help us process your request efficiently, please:

• Identify the County office(s) or department(s) you believe may have responsive records;
• Include applicable date ranges;
• Be as specific as possible regarding the documents or information you are seeking.
• Your preferred method of receiving responsive documents.

 

The County will respond in accordance with the timelines and requirements of the Texas Public Information Act, Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code.

 

Reminder that the County is not required to:

• create new documents,
• answer questions,
• perform legal research, or
• compile data in a new format.

 

Costs and Charges

Charges for copies, labor, programming, and overhead may apply in accordance with rules adopted by the Texas Office of the Attorney General. If estimated charges exceed statutory thresholds, an itemized cost estimate will be provided.

Failure to respond to a cost estimate or request for clarification within the time allowed by law may result in the request being considered withdrawn.
