The Grimes County Attorney’s Office is responsible for representing the State of Texas, Grimes County, and its officials in all civil legal matters. This includes handling lawsuits filed on behalf of the county, representing county officials in legal proceedings, and managing civil commitment cases involving mental health or substance abuse under the Texas Health and Safety Code. The office also oversees a range of family and juvenile legal matters, including cases involving child protective services and protective orders. Additionally, the County Attorney conducts legal actions related to the removal of public officials from office and other civil matters authorized by law.
