CAMPAIGN FINANCE FAQ
Q. Can my personal address be redacted?
A: Yes, if you qualify to be protected under Section 552.1175 of the Government Code, you may fill out and submit the Request For Confidentiality For Candidates Under Texas Government Code to our office. Please note: you DO NOT have to list your RESIDENCE ADDRESS on Campaign Finance Forms. The forms require you to list your MAILING ADDRESS ONLY. A: Yes, you may fill out and submit the TEC Form COR-C/OH: Correction/Amendment Affidavit for Candidate/Officeholder to our office. Please refer to the C/OH instructions available on page 4 of the COH Campaign Finance Packet.
Q: Can I file my Campaign Finance Report late?
A: Yes, the TEC recommends that you ALWAYS file your CFR even if it's late.
Q: Is there a penalty for filing a Campaign Finance Report late?
A: Please reference Page 22 of the Campaign Finance Guide for Candidates and Officeholders Who File With Local Filing Authorities and Page 17 of the
